ASCETIC ANALYSIS
Dr. Amen-Ra's adoption of the appellation "Ascetic Analysis" is intended to express the understanding that everything which engenders anxiety or melancholy, innumerable maladies in our bodies, and misery in our lives ultimately exert their malicious influence through the medium of the mind. Yet, the mind is more amenable to intentional alteration than the external world. The mind, moreover, may be trained and conditioned to endure the inevitable evils of life. This training and conditioning constitute Asceticism. Asceticism is essential to the Amen System of Psychoanalysis, to the Architekton's metaphysical interpretation of reality and to the philosophical aim of attaining ultimate tranquility and happiness. Hence, Hedonism and Asceticism are interrelated aims in the Amen Philosophy generally as well as in the Architekton's model of Mental Health.
Dr. Amen-Ra is a trained Osiriologist/Thanatologist and Existentially-oriented Psychoanalyst. Osiriology/Thanatology is the study of death, with a particular emphasis on addressing the anguish that accompanies bereavement. An element of Dr. Amen-Ra’s philosophy (nominally, Amenism) is that death awareness and the anxiety it often engenders is not exclusive to those who are actively anticipating death or grieving the loss of a loved one but is a basic feature of human psychology and of existence that is common to all. As such, Dr. Amen-Ra’s approach to psychoanalysis is existential and integrative in orientation, as all Adherents are encouraged and aided in an all-important, all-encompassing endeavor to identify that which fundamentally justifies their existence, that which is purposeful, meaningful and valuable in life. Thus, he submits that Osirio-Thanatologic Therapy (i.e. Ascetic Analysis) is appropriate for every human that will confront death—that is, everyone.
INSTRUCTION IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AIR
Individuals interested in receiving individualized instruction in the implementation of the Amen Regimen may request this service subsequent to submitting a suitable donation specified on the Resources + Services page. The material comprising the Amen Anti-Aging Regimen (AIR) is comprehensive, rigorous, exhaustively well researched, richly written, and scientifically substantive. It is also intellectually challenging and requires more mental focus and fortitude than most people are capable of commanding. That is why Amenism is only for the few. However, individualized instruction can render the complex more comprehensible even to the advanced learners that are inherently attracted to the Amen Ethos. Such persons can profit from the expertise and insight amassed by the Architekton in the two decades of practicing his Protocol without deviation or detraction.

YOGA & MEDITATION
The Amenistic dispensation of yoga and meditation is an amalgam of three sources: (I) the practical guidance given by the grammarian and sage Patañjali in his incomparable Yoga Sutras (II) the philosophical expositions upon the discipline expounded by such enlightened luminaries as Mircea Eliade and Heinrich Zimmer, especially in the former’s Yoga: Freedom & Immortality and the latter’s Philosophies of India and, most fundamentally,(III) the Architekton's two-decade-long practice of psycho-physical Asceticism. This amalgamated wisdom is encapsulated in the Architekton's treatise Mind, Matter, Mathematics & Mortality: the most lucid explication of the scientific underpinnings of mind, meditation, and the essential nature of reality that has ever been written.
